This Maa Kali black marble statue — 36 inches, custom-made in black marble with heavy gold leaf work on jewellery and multicolor accents — was originally commissioned by a devoted customer who wanted Kali's energy without the ferocity. What emerged is one of the most unique Kali murtis in our collection.

She stands on a platform — no Shiva beneath her feet. Her tongue is out, her 4 arms spread, holding a demon's head, a blessing hand, while wearing a traditional sari. Her hair is thick and properly combed — reflecting the calm and composed nature of this particular form. Heavy gold leaf work across her jewellery. The result is a Kali that is powerfully present without being intimidating.
